Heat marinara in saucepan and throw in sliced mushroom and a pinch of basil. Boil water for pasta.
Cut about a dozen stalks of asparagus into bite sized pieces and shell/devein about 3 dozen small shrimp. Sauté the shrimp and sprinkle with minced garlic and Cajun seasoning. Toss asparagus on top of shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Continue to toss shrimp and asparagus over medium heat until shrimp is cooked and asparagus is edible.
Cook pasta, drain, and mix with marinara. Serve pasta on plates and top with shrimp and asparagus.
There's something about cooking Italian that necessitates a side of garden medley and a cold glass of wine so shred some lettuce and mix with your favorite veggies and you're good to go. :P
